September 8-12, 2015 | Heritage Days, a week-long event spearheaded by the Hickman County Museum and Hickman County Historical and Genealogical Society, is a time for people to reflect on their local culture and to remember those communities and individuals who built a legacy worth preserving.

With a spectacular view of the Mississippi River and some of the most fertile hills, valleys, and woods in the upper South, Hickman County was ahead of the pack from the start.

What came next could easily have been lost: the fluid and sometimes suspenseful tale of the people and places that made Hickman County unique. But through the efforts of a league of donors and volunteers the narrative of Hickman County’s heritage—the families, settlements, struggles and successes—remains largely intact.

All week: Please fly your flags to celebrate Hickman County’s heritage and those who made it possible.
